The CBTP succeeds in part through the generosity of several sponsors. A training grant from the Institute of General Medical Sciences at the U. S. National Institutes of Health provides essential programmatic support. Other activities of the program are supported by funding from programs and departments at the University of Michigan, including the College of Engineering, the Medical School, the Office of the Vice President for Research, and the Rackham Graduate School. The member departments of the program provide important support for the program, as well. The program also receives generous support from its industrial partners, through their sponsorship of student internships and their active participation in teaching and seminar programs.
